Create 2.1.3- Using Web 2.0 Tools to Differentiate Student Assessment
Students have different abilities, preferences and learning styles. I always offer choices for them to demonstrate their knowledge. There are so many Web 2.0 tools available, and more than enough to fit their particular preferences. Some of the options I have provided have been Glogster, Videos, Prezis, Vokis, Livebinders, Thinglinks, Padlet, as well as creating blogs of their choice such as Edublogs, Wix, Weebly, etc.
There are so many options and possibilities for online instructors to utilize for assessing their students. Teachers must know their students' strengths and weaknesses in order to better assist the students with Web 2.0 tools. There is certainly no lack of creativity or choices at the virtual teacher’s fingertips, individualizing assessments as well as instruction is essential for student success.
